DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, a dosing device according to the invention comprises a closed housing 1 with a substantially rectangular truncated conical shape, which housing contains a powdered material and which is provided with a laterally offset outlet 2 for the dosed powdered material, and a externally actuatable, spring-biased carriage 3 arranged between the housing and the outlet, and more specifically at the pointed part of the housing. The carriage is provided with a key 4 projecting outside the housing and a continuous pocket 5 for accommodating the desired dose of the powdered material. This pocket preferably has an inverted rectangular truncated conical shape in relation to the housing, i.e. the tip is directed towards the house. When the carriage is actuated from a filling position to a dispensing position of the powdered material, a spring 6 is arranged to be compressed, and the continuous pocket in the carriage is arranged to be moved from a lower part of the housing to the outlet to enable dispensing of the dose of powdered material by the influence of gravity. To improve and ensure that the continuous pocket in the carriage is filled with the right amount of powdered material, it is provided with a means for influencing the powdered material inside the housing. The means for actuating the powdered material comprises at least one post, preferably two posts 7a, 7b, arranged to run close along one side 8 of the housing, one of which is shown in the drawing, when operating the key. The posts 7a, 7b for influencing the powdery material have a width (b) which amounts to about 10 to 50%, preferably about 30%, of the inner width (B) of the housing 1. The housing 1 preferably has a rectangular truncated conical shape and the posts 7a, 7b have sides directed towards the short sides 12 of the rectangle with complementary shape to said short sides, so that in the end positions of the carriage the short sides 10 of the posts abut along the short sides of the rectangle, as shown in Fig. 2. From Fig. 1 it can be seen that the surface 11a of the uprights 7a, 7b, which is directed towards the long sides 8 of the rectangle, is flat, while the surface 11b directed towards the powdered material is preferably curved. The fact that the outlet is laterally offset relative to the housing 1 means that the center axis A of outlet 2 is laterally displaced relative to the central axis B of the housing 2 to such an extent that the central axis A lies outside the outside of the short side 12 of the housing. The dosing device according to the invention is preferably pre-filled and of disposable type. Furthermore, the house can be housed in a housing (not shown) with a suitable design. Examples of powdered material which can be dosed with the dosing device according to the invention are, with not limited to, talc, various salts of acids, powder of minerals etc.

Claims (11) [1] A device for dosing a powdered material, which device comprises a closed housing (1) which houses the powdered material and which is provided with a laterally offset outlet (2) for the dosed powdered material, and an externally manually operable slide (3) arranged between the housing and the outlet, the carriage being provided with a continuous pocket (5) for accommodating the desired dose of the powdered material, and upon actuation of the carriage the continuous pocket is arranged to be moved from the housing to the outlet to enable dispensing of the dose of powdered material by the action of gravity, characterized in that the carriage (3) is provided with a means (7a, 7b, 9) for influencing the powdered material inside the housing when moving the carriage.
